Businesses to find out how to prepare for Brexit
Businesses to find out how to prepare for Brexit

Businesses can find out how to get ready for Brexit with Amelia Bishop Consulting at a major event taking place in December.

As the UK prepares to exit the European Union, the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce will be running a Brexit Consultation event to help inform the business community of the challenges and opportunities that are likely to present themselves - not only in the future but also during the key transitional period.

The event, taking place at Microsoft HQ in Reading, will include a series of high profile keynote speakers including the managing director of Amelia Bishop Consulting, a Swindon-based firm which delivers specialised Brexit consultancy and services to businesses.

Company founder Amelia Bishop is a comprehensive source of knowledge on ‘all things Brexit’, with extensive connections to key Brexit insiders, trade authorities and industry experts. Her wealth of experience spanning multiple sectors of the corporate world and setting up businesses in the fashion, automotive and finance industries, means she can assist UK businesses in negotiating the complexities of dealing with Brexit.

With Brexit on the immediate horizon, she feels that time is of the essence when it comes to getting businesses ready for the huge financial change. She will be speaking at the event about how businesses can prepare for the outcome of the negotiations regarding leaving the EU and discussing innovating and diverse opportunities in order to grow and move through challenging times.

Robert Devine, business strategist at Amelia Bishop Consulting, will also be on hand to offer businesses advice. For the last eighteen months Robert has been studying and analysing the economic and business impact of Brexit for the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce. During a long career in investment banking in the UK and Europe Robert had regular contact with portfolio managers at many banks, wealth managers and insurance companies in the Benelux, including the European Commission and the European Investment Bank in Brussels and Luxembourg.

Amelia Bishop, Senior Operational Brexit Consultant and Founder said: "A key part of our service, which we believe sets us apart from other business consultants, is our Brexit Centre. Following our vote to leave the EU, we realised that Brexit is all about change, it will bring the biggest change programme the UK has seen since the Second World War. There will be changes to how we trade, travel, shop, invest, and work and it is critical that businesses understand and know what the changes are and how they will be affected so that they can get ready."

Other confirmed speakers at the event include representatives from Microsoft, British Chambers of Commerce, Honda and Beard Construction. It takes place at the Microsoft offices in Reading on 8 December 2017. For more information about the event, or to book a place, please visit
