Wedding planner up for two major awards
Wedding planner up for two major awards

A wedding planner is hoping to soon be cracking open her very own bottle of champagne after being nominated for two awards. But will she be left seeing double?

Natalie Lovett, the brains behind both Love to Plan and The Whitewed Directory, is used to a front row seat at many a major celebration but she could soon have her very own chance to shine.

The Swindon based entrepreneur is up for two prestigious awards.

Firstly, fingers are crossed Natalie will reign triumphant at the 2017 NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards, where she is nominated in the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year category. This is for her work founding and compiling wedding planning directory - The Whitewed Directory.

This gem of a directory makes it easier for couples to find a professional to help them plan their big day by acting as a one-stop shop of the very best wedding planners and organisers in Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.

The Whitewed Directory has already beaten off stiff competition from over 1,000 other businesses to make the regional shortlist of the competition.

The awards are in their fifth year and previous winners include Julie Deane of The Cambridge Satchel Company, David Buttress of Just Eat, James Watt of BrewDog and Alexander Solomou of TheLADBible Group. Natalie would love to join her own name to this list of now recognisable household names.

The NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate the skills and work of the very best businesses and entrepreneurs across the country.

Natalie is also in the running for the prestigious award of Best Wedding Planner at The Cotswold Awards 2017 for her Love to Plan wedding planning business.

This award is extra special as it is judged by the customers rather than by the usual panel of judges. The award aims to recognise people and businesses for their skills across a wide range of areas.

The NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards gala final takes place in Cardiff on 4 October, whilst The Cotswold Awards will take place on 7 November.

Natalie said, "I'm over the moon to be nominated for not just one but two awards and it would be a dream come true to take away either of the awards on the night."
