Cardiff’s waste collections unchanged over festive break but council will offer one-off collection of Christmas trees

While there will be no changes to recycling and waste collection days over Christmas, Cardiff Council is arranging one-off collections of Christmas trees across the first two weeks of January.

 

Residents are asked to place their trees on street and not to cut them up or put them in the green wheelie bins or white reusable sacks. These one-off collections are for Christmas trees only, and no other garden waste will be collected as part of this service.

 

A Christmas tree drop-off zone will also be provided at Heath Park on January 8thand 9thbetween 10am and 4pm.

 

The Christmas tree kerbside collections from city wards will be on the following days:

 

January 4th: Fairwater, St Fagans, Ely and Caerau

January 5th: Grangetown, Canton and Riverside

January 6th: Butetown, Adamsdown, Splott and Plasnewydd

January 7th: Pontprennau, Pentwyn and Penylan

January 11th: Creigiau, Pentyrch, Radyr, Whitchurch and Heath West

January 12th: Llandaff, Llandaff North, Gabalfa, Cathays and Heath East

January 13th: Rumney, Llanrumney, Trowbridge and Old St Mellons

January 14th: Lisvane, Llanishen, Rhiwbina and Cyncoed
