Dog stolen from Cardiff Dogs Home

A two-year-old Boxer cross named Fiona has been stolen from Cardiff Dogs Home!

On Wednesday 2 August a woman arrived at the home on Westpoint Industrial Estate and showed an interest in providing a home for Fiona. The woman then took the dog for a walk and never returned. Information left on a rehoming application form has now been passed to South Wales Police but the fear is that these details are bogus.

Cabinet Member for Clean Streets, Recycling and Environment, Cllr Michael Michael said: "If anyone has any information about this dog please get in touch with Cardiff Dogs Home or South Wales Police. I am reliably informed that this dog has a sensitive nature and we are obviously very keen to secure her safe return. Staff at the home always insist that car keys are left as a deposit before taking one of the dogs for a walk but they now assume that the set left by this woman on Wednesday afternoon are no longer current."

Anyone with information about this dog theft are asked to contact Cardiff Dogs Home on 029 2071 1243 or South Wales Police on 01656 655 555 and quote crime reference number 1700300384.
