A new way to offer comfort, warmth, and to lift the spirits of loved ones in care, through simple to use photo and video solution.

60% of the 410,000 care home residents received no visitors before Covid restrictions ( Source AgeUK)

A further 3 million elderly live alone

20% of people live over an hour's drive from elderly family

Feelings of loneliness greatly increases the chances of developing dementia

Social support has been shown to moderate the negative effects of chronic illness

Connected Care does not replace the experience of face-to-face visits, but it does ease the guilt, worry and helplessness felt by so many with ageing relatives that they struggle to regularly visit. It comforts residents enabling them to see their families, relive memories and keep up to date via photos and videos until they can see them in person without being overwhelmed by technology.

A win-win for everyone:

No overwhelming technology

No equipment investment

No need for increased network or digital storage capability

More secure and private other tech solutions

No steep learning curves for care home staff

Avoid "live" Zoom tech issues, photos and videos are captured by the carers of residents when they want to and feel up to or during activities rather than a pre-arranged video call that may not show them feeling well or happy

Alleviates communication pressures on care home staff

Entirely managed service by the SayIt team for both staff and relatives:

  • Regular photo postcards to keep residents or elderly relatives up to date with family life
  • Video greeting cards filled with messages of love, memories and stories from family and friends. The card features a bright, full-colour screen with excellent sound quality which auto-plays on opening the card. 2 hours of battery time which is rechargeable and up to 1 hours of recorded video
  • Relatives use the SayIt platform (app.say-it.co) to collaborate with family and friends via a single, secure web link to collect photos, messages and videos. SayIt then works their magic to reformat all the content and send directly to the recipient in regular photo postcards and a video card.
  • Cloud-based, secure digital home for all resident information, communications, photos and videos that relatives can view at any time night or day

Founder Kate Johnson says: "We've had a lot of great feedback from care home workers and relatives that welcome the video greeting card as an important and much needed service"

Helen used SayIt for her mother-in-law's 90thbirthday:

We used a SayIt video card to surprise my mother-in-law on her 90th birthday. She absolutely loved watching the videos! It really made her birthday extra special, seeing and listening to messages from friends and family around the country and abroad! She said it was better than having a party!

She has watched them over and over. It is wonderful because we have never even been able to get her to use a mobile phone, but she is successfully using the video card!

I would definitely use SayIt again. The support team were extremely helpful answering any questions I had. I would recommend SayIt to anyone looking for an alternative way to celebrating an event or just to brighten up someone's day!

Juliette can't see her 80-year-old mother this Christmas:

We used SayIt to send over 100 photos and videos to my mum so she can enjoy some treasured memories whenever she wants to until we can next see her. The products are excellent quality and the system is easy to use, even for me! I definitely recommend their service to anyone with an aging family, my mum loves it too.

Kate Johnson founded SayIt along with her husband Lee just a few months ago in response to her son's 7thbirthday in lockdown. Disappointed he couldn't see anyone or go anywhere Kate requested friends and family to send birthday messages by video. Although the result was fantastic and loved by her son the process had been really difficult and time-consuming. The idea to create a simple to use platform for people to create their own video gifts was born.

Kate: "SayIt is already so much more than a simple birthday gift. Our mission is to spread joy, love and kindness and strengthen and deepen connections with those that matter most no matter where they are in the world. I'm delighted to offer a solution to the care sector as my nan had Alzheimer's which affected the whole family and the ConnectedCare service would have really helped".

SayIt founders would like to stress that we are sensitive to the needs for care home residents and are in no way offering our product as a replacement to contact visits which are vital for the health and wellbeing of everyone affected.
