Perks for DIA Members
Q-Park are partnered with the DIA to allow Driving Instruction Association members access to selected car parks free of charge by showing the Q-Park host their membership card on entry and exit.
The purpose of this is to allow learner drivers the use of quality car parks to practice parallel parking or parking in bays, in a quieter environment away from the busy city centre streets.
The scheme is available to DIA members at the following Q-Park car parks

- Edinburgh - Q-Park OMNI
- Liverpool - Q-Park Liverpool ONE
- Nottingham - Q-Park Talbot Street

In addition to this, DIA members get access to discounted pre-booking by using the exclusive code found in the members area of the DIA website.
Top parking tips for new drivers
- Check your surroundings - Look out for small children or shopping trollies that may have escaped their owners.
- Roll down the window and turn down your music - This will help you hear people and vehicles nearby.
- Get your steps in - Parking a little further away from the shops or the entrance can mean there are less cars around which might help you avoid dents to your doors.
- Park on the end - Where possible, park at the end of a row, that means you only need to contend with another car for space on one side of your vehicle.
- Back it up - Always reverse into a space. It's safer to drive out into traffic when it's time to leave, it can also be easier to manoeuvre into spaces in reverse.
- Location, location, location - Try to park in well-lit areas and be sure to make a mental note of where you parked.
