  • Xylem's rental pumps offer a fast response and are available for everything from drought to disaster control in the event of flooding

  • Europe's largest rental fleet includes more than 10,000 pumps - delivered at short notice, as and when required

  • Systems available for rent include ozone products for disinfecting cooling water

Flooding due to heavy rains, prolonged drought or temporary projects with changing wastewater conditions requires fast and flexible solutions, prompting water technology company Xylem to offer all of its products and services for rent.

Xylem understands that the priority is to keep businesses operational and prevent downtime that results in additional cost. It has therefore set up the largest rental hub in Europe to provide fast, on-demand assistance, including expert support and on-site installation.

Five locations around Germany have been chosen for their strategic central position in terms of fast distribution and installation to ensure that critical situations can be resolved quickly.

"Unfortunately, due to climate change, there is a risk that heavy rainfall can cause damage to wastewater infrastructure or to communities' drinking water networks. Now, we can cover all of these demands and ensure continued operation with a fast response service and installation," explains Andy Grewar, General Manager Service & Rental, Xylem Water Solutions UK&I.

Most water challenges can be resolved immediately thanks to Xylem's extensive product range and the many applications covered by its Godwin and Flygt products, which include everything from flooding to construction sites as well as the many water challenges facing industry. During long periods of drought products are available for rent that will prevent downtime and secure a constant supply of water.

"When industrial parks rely on water from adjacent rivers or water bodies, our Godwin self-priming diesel pumps or Flygt's electric centrifugal pumps can compensate sinking water levels with a temporary solution," adds Andy.

Xylem's new European rental hub offers solutions to tackle all types of issues, such as turning wastewater into fresh water, removing silt and mud and disinfecting cooling water via ozone plants. With no acquisition, storage or maintenance costs, rental offers significant advantages across a wide range of applications.
