Karting with Heroes

FILMING OPPORTUNITY 

The charity Back on Track will be hosting Karting with Heroes on September 1^st at Buckmore Park Kart Circuit in Chatham, Kent.http://backontrack.london/events/karting-with-heroes/

Back on Track, was established by the founders of the Harley Street Skin Clinic– Lesley Reynolds and Dr Aamer Khan, to help British troops with serious injuries and disfiguring scarring to the skin helping former servicemen with severely damaged or lost limbs.

Many casualties are young men and women in the prime of their lives whose confidence has been damaged along with their bodies and they believe that they will never be able to lead normal lives again. However, the thrill of hurtling around the track, competing against injured, and able-bodied drivers, boosting endorphins has proven to do wonders for their confidence and speeds up the whole recovery process. 

There will be 30 teams of 4 drivers with 3 hours on the track and contestants decide how much time each driver can take.

Previous celebrity studded events have been very well attended and this year’s looks to be a bumper turnout, with familiar names including  the charity's patron Andrea McLean, and a huge cross section of Harley Street Skin's celebrity clients who always come to support the day. 

Regular attendees include Vicki Michelle, Claire Sweeney, Andrea McLean, Patsy Kensit, Nancy Sorrell and her husband Jim Moir, not to mention Christian Vit, Tim Vincent, Gillian Taylforth, Linda Barker, Nell McAndrew and the Pimlico Plumbers.
