North Yorkshire business shortlisted in regional Food Entrepreneur Awards final

 

The team at a North Yorkshire rapeseed oilbusiness is celebrating after reaching the final in two categories of an awards scheme that recognises Yorkshire's Food and Drink Entrepreneurs.

 

Thixendale based Breckenholme Trading Company has been shortlisted with East Yorkshire based Staal Smokehouse in theBest Partnership category whilst its Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil brand has reached the final of the Best Yorkshire Brand category in the second annual Garbutt & Elliott Food Entrepreneur Awards.

 

Breckenholme's founder, Adam Palmer is delighted to be shortlisted in two categories: "We're thrilled to have reached the final of these high profile regional awards and we look forward to a great evening with fellow Yorkshire food and drink entrepreneurs."

 

Breckenholme has been shortlisted alongsideBirds On The Loose and York Gin and York Cocoa House, whilst Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil faces competition from Hesper Skyr; York Gin; Sloemotion; North Brewing and Binghams Food Ltd. The winners will be announced at a dinner at the Castle Museum, York on 7thMarch.

 

 

The awards are organised by York and Leeds-based accountancy firm Garbutt + Elliott and recognise the best among the county's food and drink producers and retailers.

 

Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil was established in 2008 by Adam and Jennie Palmer on their farm in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. They now produce a range ofoils, dressings and mayonnaisebased on their award-winning rapeseed oil that is produced exclusively from home. Their Yorkshire Wolds grown rapeis pressed, blended, bottled and labelled on the family farm.

They call North Breckenholme farm their home, situated on the edge of Yorkshire Wolds and on the outskirts of the North Yorkshire village Thixendale, close to Malton.
