Announcing the UK's first health food awards dedicated to free-from products

The UK's first health food awards dedicated to "free-from" products will take place this September at Cheltenham Race Course. The 2018 Nourish Awards will be hosted by Naomi Devlin, gluten-free and fermented food expert, nutritionist, cook and author ofRiver Cottage Gluten FreeandFood for a Happy Gutcookbooks.

The Awards are organised by Free-From Media, creators of the award winning Free-From Inspired Magazine (formerly The Gluten Free Centre).

Co-founder Diana Murphy said: "We created the awards to raise awareness of the myriad of wonderful products that are truly nutritious and nourishing and not only free from gluten and dairy but also free-from artificial additives, flavours, preservatives, sweeteners and refined white sugar."

She added: "There are some amazing brands out there doing an incredible job creating healthy products that everyone can enjoy and the Nourish Awards will give them the recognition they deserve and at the same time help consumers to choose healthier options."

The 2018 Nourish Awards celebrate foods with good nutritional profile, health benefits, ethically sourced and organic ingredients and will be judged by foodies, free from food experts, professionals, nutritionists and health food bloggers.

As well as Naomi Devlin, other judges include Wilfred Emmanuel - Jones, founder of The Black Farmer together with Ugne Bubnaityte who appeared in the 2015Great British Bake Off(GBBO) and has been dubbed as the Pioneer of Modern British Free-From and Jan Minihane , a leading Paleo expert and instigator of the UK Paleo Awards.

Entries will compete in 25 categories including ‘sprouted', ‘fermented' and ‘beauty & health drinks'. Each category also has a People's Choice Award, voted for by the public - in addition to professional judging which will determine the winners.

The Awards Gala will be held at the prestigious Cheltenham Racecourse on the 21^stSeptember 2018.
