Yorkshire coast inspired beer reaches final of food and drink award
The team at Wold Top Brewery is celebrating after its gluten free beer Scarborough Fair IPA has been shortlisted in the deliciouslyorkshire Taste Awards.
Scarborough Fair IPA has reached the final of the Best Free From Product category in what is referred to as the largest and most respected food and drink awards in the region.
Kate Balchin, accounts and export manager at the Wold Newton brewery, said: "We're delighted that Scarborough Fair IPA has reached the final of this award, especially one that counts Radio 2 Drive-time chef, Nigel Barden amongst the judges."
Scarborough Fair IPA is brewed using 100% British ingredients that include home grown barley and water from the farm's own borehole. It was listed in the Independent's 10 best gluten free beers earlier this year.
Winners of the deliciouslyorkshire and Yorkshire Post Taste Awards will be announced at an awards dinner at thePavilions of Harrogate on Wednesday 1st November, when Nigel Barden and Steph Moon will host an evening of champagne, local food and celebration.
