SterlingOSB gives social space for students a modern twist

Providing the perfect combination of practicality and aesthetics, Norbord's SterlingOSB stands pride of place in new modular student accommodation in Plymouth.

Contracted by Pickstock Construction, Crescent Point boasts over 384 student beds across two blocks. With a range of cluster flats to self-contained studios, these new buildings will provide high-quality, modern accommodation for students. The site includes a number of common areas, where SterlingOSB panels have been used to dress the walls and furniture, as well as to create seating.

Complemented by modern furnishings, the panels create a comfortable, industrial look that provides a great social space for the students.

Elements Europe supplied the modular solution to the scheme, and has used SterlingOSB in all of its Room Module. The precision engineered panels and the interlaced real wood strands create a consistently sturdy product great for load bearing situations.

Design Project Leader at Elements Europe, David Greasley explains why they chose to use SterlingOSB, "The product is FSC approved and therefore adheres to our environmental promise."

"We have used SterlingOSB on many projects because it can be used for a multitude of applications." John commented. For more information on Elements Europe visitwww.elements-europe.com.
