[image]I am delighted to have been appointed by this local artisan chocolatier.  Please find below background information and I look forward to working closely with you and Urban Village Chocolates.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

urbanvillage.co.uk

Urban Village Chocolates (UVC) is a small, family-run, artisan chocolate company. This award-winning company is is tucked away in Twickenham, where it has a self-contained workshop in a small business unit, among the residential cottages in St Margarets. The company moved into the premises in spring 2017, hitherto having made all the chocolates in the basement of the owners' nearby home.

The company has won an impressive total offive Great Taste Awards(two being two-star and three one-star) and creates truffles for a range of different companies, including Leith's. The product range is now stocked in selected national retail outlets, as well online and even overseas.

The Team

Deborah Newbury and her husband Mark Brownrigg are the dynamic force behind UVC. After giving up her 25 year PR career, Deborah was looking for a change of direction, so for inspiration enrolled for numerous different courses. A one-day chocolate-making course was to prove life-changing; her passion for consuming good chocolates could be harnessed to give her a new sense of direction. After much experimenting on friends and family, she set up UVC, to be joined soon after by Mark, (newly retired from his career as a shipping industry lobbyist), who now works harder than ever!

The Chocolate

Both Deborah and Mark firmly believe in only using chocolate from the world's best producers, and ensuring that all ingredients used are sourced ethically, with full consideration for the local communities and the environment. A wide variety of single-origin and single-plantation chocolate is sourced for inclusion in UVC collections. No preservatives or artificial flavours are used.

 The Products

Eye-catching and brightly coloured flavoured bars are just part of the strikingly different range from Urban Village Chocolates.
