NORTH DEVON MARKETING BUREAU LAUNCH A COMPETITION TO WIN A FAMILY HOLIDAY IN NORTH DEVON


Companies and attractions from around North Devon have come together to offer a family holiday package to enjoy in the area. Through the social media led competition, one lucky family will be able to enjoy a 3 or 4 night stay at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks, alongside a meal at popular Barnstaple restaurant Lilico’s, plus a visit to local attractions The Big Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park, Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Atlantis Adventure Park and the Ultimate Adventure Centre.


This UK wide competition is the next step by the North Devon Marketing Bureau in a campaign to advertise North Devon as an amazing holiday destination, showcasing the accommodation and attractions the area has to offer. Working with Visit North Devon and Exmoor, they continue to use social media to advertise tourism in the area, with the aim of bringing people to the region. This will be the first of many North Devon based competitions and has already received over 1,000 entries and counting.


It’s well known that North Devon is a true highlight of English tourism, with award winning beaches, deer filled moorland, and unforgettable scenery. The scope for family activities, adrenaline sports, and relaxation on the beach needs to be experienced to be believed. The Bureau feels that everyone needs to visit North Devon at least once, and this is the reasoning behind the competition.


Rick Turner, Marketing Director of the North Devon Marketing Bureau, has said: “Tourism in North Devon is a hot topic right now, and we fully support the idea that every company, attraction, accommodation provider and North Devon tourism led business should be given the opportunity to shine. That’s why we want to keep pushing the region as the top place to bring your family and friends on a holiday in the UK, and that’s why we hope that a series of competitions will showcase the area to more families than ever before.”


Linda Brothers of Woolacombe Bay Holiday Parks, added: “Encouraging tourism to North Devon is our ethos, we love welcoming new faces to our holiday resort, and know that the winners will enjoy their stay. We’ve got a long history with the NDMB and enjoy working together, and that’s why we’re so pleased to be offering a prize in the first competition.”
