Hashtag Press author Stephanie Nimmo inspires the Loose Women panel on ITV today

Was This In The Plan? to be published on September 12th2017

[image]Today, Stephanie Nimmo, 48, told Katie Price, Stacey Solomon, Janet Street-Porter and Ruth Langsford on ITV's Loose Women that she wants to be "a shining light" and stay strong for her three children. Stephanie's fourth daughter, Daisy, was born with a very rare, life-limiting condition called Costello syndrome. Together with her husband Andy, Stephanie realised that although this was quite definitely ‘not part of the plan', they would work together as a team to make Daisy's life the best it could be, as well as the lives of their whole family. Sadly, Andy passed away just one year after being diagnosed with cancer at the end of 2015 and just 13 months later, at the start of this year, Daisy passed away. As Ruth Langsford explained: "This is a heartbreaking story, but an uplifting one too".

Stephanie Nimmo is available for interview about living as a single parent after experiencing the unimaginable loss of both a child and a partner, but also about being a carer for Daisy for twelve years, living a lot of their life relying on the NHS, and then being a carer for both Andy and Daisy. She has an incredible attitude to life and amazing resilience and strength. Her story is shockingly sad, yet she remains one of the most positive, funny, strong (she did a triathlon last weekend and is an ultramarathon runner) women out there! Steph is determined to show us that life changes and challenges may not have been in your plan, but we can still live the best lives, even in a shorter timeframe than we may have planned for.

The book, Was This In The Plan? is being published by Hashtag Press and released on September 12th2017 but is available now for pre-order across all major book shops online and via Steph's website:www.stephanienimmo.com. A percentage of sales from pre-orders will be donated to Shooting-Star Chase Hospice which was a big part of Daisy's life for many years. PDF copies of the book are available for review.
