Greener Grangetown - Press Statement - 6th November 2017

Cardiff's Environmental Scrutiny Committee is due to receive an item titled Greener Grangetown - Member Update at its meeting on Tuesday 7thNovember. At the meeting Councillors supporting the Committee will have the opportunity to assess the progress achieved to date on the scheme; consider the lessons learnt and identify potential future opportunities arising for Cardiff from the scheme.

A spokesperson for the Environmental Scrutiny Committee explained that:

"Greener Grangetown is an environmental improvement scheme that is unique to Cardiff. In developing such a project the Council is operating at the forefront of sustainable drainage engineering while at the same time establishing valuable partnership working arrangements with Dwr Cymru and Natural Resources Wales. It is the role of this Committee to assess the progress of the project, to understand the lessons learnt and to consider future opportunities available to Cardiff from this ground breaking project".

The item on ‘Greener Grangetown' will be received by Cardiff's Environmental Scrutiny Committee at 4:40pm on Tuesday 7thNovember. The venue for the meeting will be Committee Room 4 in County Hall and members of the public are welcome to attend.
