Solo Success at Coventry's Criterion Theatre

Local writer, Christine Ingall, publishes her debut book -

Solo Success! You CAN Do Things On Your Own

Coventry, United Kingdom: Coventry's Criterion Theatre was bursting with Solo Success stories last night (28thSeptember 2017) at the official launch of a new book aiming to change the lives of the 7.7 million people living on their own in the UK. Friends, actors, theatre members, writers and journalists joined Leamington Spa-resident Christine Ingall to celebrate the publication of the unique, new, non-fiction, self-help book:Solo Success! You CAN Do Things On Your Own(Panoma Press, £10.99).

[image]Fellow author, Sue Williams ('Believe You Can'), welcomed the guests and introduced Christine Ingall and her original book concept that provides a step-by-step guide to helping people who are fearful of being ‘visibly alone', and avoid doing things such as going to the theatre, for a coffee, or to a gig, unless they're in a couple or group. Christine spoke about her unique publishing story - from writer to author in less than 12 months, read from the book and sparked a lively debate about the difference between loneliness and being alone, as well as the good, the bad and the ugly of ‘solo' experiences.

Christine is hosting a private party for family and friends tonight (29thSeptember) and has a range of signings and talks booked up in the Warwickshire and Coventry region over the coming months, to spread the word and ignite debate, ultimately helping people to conquer their fear, and build the confidence to pursue the things they enjoy doing (or think theycouldenjoy),whenthey want to do them, and most importantly,on their own.

[image]Christine Ingall never expected to be single and live alone for more than 30 years, or that it could be so much fun and pass so quickly. She hasn't always found it natural or easy to pursue her hobbies and do the things she loves on her own. It's from this personal experience that Christine writes so warmly, openly and armed with tips, tricks and strategies.

Solo Successtakes the reader on a journey from preparation through to activity-specific advice and ideas to help your first solo experience go smoothly. It's the literary equivalent of a good friend holding your hand throughout the whole experience, until you eventually feel confident and happy enough to tackle something on your own.

‘In 2016, 7.7 million people lived alone in the UK, 54% of them were women and the largest proportion were aged 45 to 64.'
