Cardiff Jobsfair 2017

A host of exciting job opportunities will be on offer for people looking for work at a major Jobsfair in the centre of Cardiff next week.

Cardiff Council's Into Work Services and Job Centre Plus will host the event at St David's Hall on Wednesday, September 6 (10am - 2pm).

Over 30 employers from a variety of sectors including Legal & General, SSE, Principality Stadium, Lidl and Marks & Spencer will be at the event to discuss a wide range of jobs prospects and opportunities they have available for people looking to move jobs or get back into the world of work.

Lots of help and advice will also be on offer, including support from Into Work Services on improving CVs, some greatinterview techniques, how to job search effectively and how to complete applications forms and covering letters to obtain an interview. .

Cabinet Member for Housing and Communities, Cllr Lynda Thorne, said: "Our Jobsfairs have been extremely popular over recent years with hundreds of people coming through the doors to find out about the opportunities on offer in the city.

"We're pleased to be working with Job Centre Plus to deliver this event. Our Into Work services can support people back to work in a variety of ways from assisting with work-based accredited training courses and offering practical help and support from 20 locations across the city in our drop in job clubs.
