Bartercard UK saves the day for
Rugby League showdown
Bartercard UK recently saved the day for the
London Broncos and Sheffield Eagles Rugby League teams by stepping in as their
match sponsor at the last minute.
The Broncos have been a member of the Bartercard
system, which allows small to medium-sized businesses to conduct cashless
transactions, for over 10 years. This enduring relationship meant that Bartercard
was happy to get involved at short notice when the two Goliath teams were caught
short.
The fast-paced match between the two squads
kicked off on 9 July 2017 and after a hard-won bout the London team beat their
rivals by 52 to 16. The result meant the Broncos held on to their second-place
position in the Rugby League Championship.
Jason Loubser, CEO of the London Broncos Rugby
League, explained: “We’ve been a member of Bartercard UK for 10 years and
traded well over half a million pound with them during that time. The league’s
management team is proud to be associated with a company that has an excellent
track record of enabling small businesses to succeed. We’re looking forward to
the season ahead and know Bartercard are there to help us out.”
Trading has turned into a viable economy of
scale that Bartercard is spearheading, assisting members all over the world to
conserve cash, move excess stock, fill downtime and increase their customer
base.
Bartercard UK will
help London Broncos Rugby League to save thousands of pounds over the coming
years with new sponsorship and contacts.
Philip Ciniglio, CEO of Bartercard UK, said:
“Bartercard UK is a whole new area of income for sports clubs that are
struggling with the high costs of players and equipment. We can help where they
need additional revenue to offset costs and instead put their much-needed cash
into the team. We wish London Broncos Rugby League all the best for the
remaining season.”
Current Bartercard member,
Andrew Kunman from The Apprentice Supermarket, is sponsoring three players,
including the New Team Member sponsorship of John Boudebza. Boudebza is a
former Super League player with Hull KR.
Members of the barter
trading exchange also have the chance to support the team through shirt, shorts
and perimeter sponsorship opportunities. Members should contact their account
manager for further details.
Bartercard has 75 offices and currently operates
in nine countries. Their wide reach and professional approach means members
enjoy access to a wide range of businesses, and a multitude of products and
services.
Members choose from three membership options
according to their turnover. They pay a monthly fee to Bartercard and a small
commission on each transaction processed by the service. In return, they can
approach any of the other 50,000+ members and access an interest-free line of credit.
This helps businesses continue to trade when cash flows slow.
Other benefits for members include use of the
online portal and access to networking events and potential new business.
