Swindon, 28 June 2017 - The Great Western Wedding Show, which will take place at STEAM Swindon in January 2018, is set to be the biggest show yet. 

The two-day event is organised by The Whitewed Directory and is taking place on the 13th and 14th January 2018. 

The largest event of its kind, The Great Western Wedding Show will feature over 60 exhibitors, a popular shopping area, catwalk shows, live music, inspiration zones, beauty consultations and workshops. There will be a pop-up café serving hot drinks and refreshments, plus a sponsored Prosecco Bar. 

Chiseldon House are sponsoring day one of the Prosecco Bar and it's expected that DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon will sponsor the second day. 

The first Great Western Wedding Show was held at the McArthur Glen Outlet in February 2016 and was a great success. 

Natalie Lovett, managing director of The Whitewed Directory, said: "This time around, we wanted to take the show to a larger scale, building on and overtaking what we achieved previously. A large event like this enables us to be creative with our offering and cherry pick the very best elements from other events. 

"We have experience of organising over 100 successful wedding shows and are well known for putting on excellent events that are invaluable for both couples planning weddings and exhibitors. The event will provide couples with a show that's not just for weddings, but for their lifestyle – and offer them a treat too."

Throughout the event, a live feed will be available on social media to showcase everything that's on offer. It will be available to view live on Facebook, plus there will be plenty of photos and updates to see and share throughout the two days. 

STEAM is the home of the Museum of the Great Western Railway and holds a special place in the hearts of the organising team. "What better place to hold a show of this standing than in the home of The Whitewed Directory, where we started our story," said Lovett. "It’s a venue that showcases what Swindon is all about."

Ideally Lovett would like to see the show develop to become a yearly, unmissable wedding event on the South West calendar, for both engaged couples and exhibitors alike.

Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire Bride magazine has agreed to be an official media partner for the event.
