DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon played host as The Swindon Chamber of Commerce planned for political future

The Swindon Chamber of Commerce planned life after the shock general election.

The Chamber was given a post-election report from Bob Devine, the well-known investment banking consultant who is attached to the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce group of which Swindon is a part.

A lunch for senior members of the Chamber, local business dignitaries and banking officials at the DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon, hosted by Adam Flint, the general manager of the hotel.
Guests included some of Swindon’s top business personalities, including Amelia Bishop, of Weenie Business Solutions; Leigh Robinson of the Swindon Chamber of Commerce; Adam Flint of the Double Tree Hilton; Sara Parris of the Chamber; Les Durrant of DPDS Consulting; Bob Devine; Kevin Gwilliam, president elect of the Swindon Chamber and the Brunel Centre; Sara Tye, redheadPR; Graham Taylor, New College; Julia Husband of Barclays Bank and Iain Black of Monahans.

Adam Flint, general manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon, said “it was a fantastic meeting of minds. With the nation in disarray, it was a great chance to sit down and discuss what the future may hold for the businesses in Swindon.”

The recently refurbished hotel, which extends from the lobby to the rooms, provided the ideal setting for this thought provoking meeting.

DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon sits in the picturesque Wiltshire countryside, just three miles from Swindon town centre. With 171 comfortable rooms and suites, great menu options and a choice of facilities, it can provide everything you need for your conferences, meetings, weddings and other events.

Many of the region’s biggest employers look to local hotels for quality meeting rooms. The hotel’s refurbishment provides revamped and functional spaces for working teams to enjoy.
