June 2017- Patrick Jones, general manager at Tewkesbury Park is pleased to announce the appointment of Olivier Noel Ansquer, as the hotel's new deputy manager. Spanning an impressive career of over 30 years in the hospitality industry, Olivier Noel Ansquer, who is originally from France, comes to Tewkesbury Park from Norfolk's beautiful quayside Blakeney Hotel.

Educated in France, Olivier commenced his hospitality career there, gaining the essential foundations that would help equip him with the vital skills needed for a profession in top-end hotels and restaurants. In 1992 he moved to London to work at the five-star Lanesborough Hotel, initially as a chef de rang before being promoted to head waiter. Three years later, a move to Conran's then flagship restaurant Quaglino's saw him join as head waiter, where he stayed for two years.

In 1997 Olivier moved to the Benihana group as deputy manager, working with all three restaurants. Two years later he moved to the fine-dining Amandier Restaurant & Bistro Daniel, in Lancaster Gate, where he remained for three years. A stint at Gordon Ramsay's Fleur Restaurant, as assistant restaurant manager before the restaurant closed, provided him with invaluable experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant. In 2004, Olivier joined the pre-opening team of the 200-room Hotel Saint Gregory in Shoreditch, as food and beverage operations manager, where he ensured revenues and financial performance were maximised across all six food and beverage outlets. Following the opening of Hotel Saint Gregory, another pre-opening position presented itself, this time at Clerkenwell's Dans Le Noir? The dining concept of eating in total darkness was an offer too tempting to turn down and proved an exciting yet challenging opportunity. Once up and running Olivier decided to return to his true roots and go back to hotels. Weston Park, the stately home in Shropshire tempted him away from the capital, with the offer of food & beverage operations manager, where he remained for ten years.

In his new role, he will assist Patrick Jones with the smooth running of the hotel's operational side of the business, including all F&B departments and the hotel's expanding wedding and meetings business. Other responsibilities to fall within his remit will include housekeeping and front of house departments. He will work closelywith heads of departments to implement strategies, objectives and financial analysis of all operations.

Commenting, Olivier Ansquer said: "I'm delighted to have joined Tewkesbury Park at such an exciting time, it's a beautiful hotel and with all the work that has been carried out so far, plus with the new Cotswolds Suite and thewood-fired pizza bar and terrace due for completion this summer, plenty more exciting times are ahead for the hotel."

Tewkesbury Park recently received a complete renovation with the new addition of nine luxury historic suites, two meeting rooms, an orangery and a cocktail lounge. Besides the new additions, a complete refurbishment was carried out to its 84 guestrooms and communal areas, including the main foyer and reception. The hotel has an 18-hole par 73 parkland golf course, academy course, practice range, putting green, golf boutique and squash & tennis courts. A fully-equipped health club has an excellent gym, indoor swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna and steam room.
