Festo launches Industry 4.0 course to equip UK manufacturing leaders for the future

Date

06.06.17

Festo Training & Consulting has launched its first Industry 4.0 course. The course will equip business leaders with the strategic skills and insights to make the most of the opportunities presented by Industry 4.0 - the fourth industrial revolution - where the ready availability of data and the standardisation of machine communication will enable new and disruptive business models to emerge.

Over two days, Festo's course will assist leaders to identify opportunities for change within their own workplaces and help them recognise how and where to apply the principles of Industry 4.0.

Whether participants are considering a new factory or plant and want to understand the principles behind Industry 4.0 or whether they are looking to apply certain aspects within the current limitations of existing processes, this course will help them take a big step forward.

Neil Lewin from Festo Training & Consulting says, "This course is specifically designed for business leaders who want to make the most of the opportunities presented by Industry 4.0. During the two days we help leaders assess how Industry 4.0 can be applied in their organisations, working in small groups and teams, as well as understanding and debating the challenges posed by Industry 4.0. It is for leaders who want to make better investment decisions that will equip their organisations for the future."

The course runs either as an open course for participants from different companies or as an in-company course across an organisation or from within a department.

Dates of the Open Courses are:

  • 11/12th July 2017

  • 12/13th September 2017

  • 14/15th November 2017

All open courses will be held at Festo in Northampton.
