Weenie Business Solutions in
Swindon has raised almost £200 for Dementia UK by hosting a coffee and cake
morning in its offices at Kingsdown Orchard.
Staff of the business consultancy baked a selection of treats for the event, with
all proceeds helping the charity give more support to those suffering the
symptoms of neurological disorders, commonly referred to as dementia.
Weenie Business Solutions’ Director, Amelia Bishop, said: “Our coffee mornings
are a really fun way to raise awareness and funds for important causes like
Dementia UK.
“It’s important to remember that bringing people together can help make a
difference. I’ve also learned that the team clearly enjoys watching the Bake
Off. A big thank you to my team and everyone who came along.”
Neighbours of Weenie Business Solutions — S J H Services, Pharmaceutical &
Healthcare Sciences Society (PHSS) and Auditel UK — all made it to the event in
show of their support.
The event aligned with a national campaign by Dementia UK called Time for a Cuppa (1st-8th
March). The donations will fund more Admiral Nurses across the country, who
help people cope with any worries and uncertainties related to dementia.
This latest coffee morning fundraiser at Weenie Business Solutions follows a
very successful event for Macmillan Cancer Support last November. Combined, the
two events raised over £500 pounds, with some donations being doubled by the
company.
