DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon donated a large number of duvets and pillows to Booth House, the Salvation Army resettlement centre for homeless men and women in Swindon in time for Christmas.
Following DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon’s refurbishment in late 2016, staff at the hotel called Booth House, who sent a minibus and filled it with the donated bedding.
Peter Hendry, general manager at DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon said: “We were delighted to see our outgoing bedding go to such a great cause. Booth House does tremendous work in support of homeless people and makes a difference to their lives in so many ways.”
Liz Osborne, service manager at Booth House, said: “Christmas is a difficult time for many of our residents and the generosity of local people and businesses has been heartwarming. It’s good to know people are thinking about you at Christmas wherever you are.”
Other businesses who joined DoubleTree by Hilton Swindon in donating to Booth House over Christmas included Tesco, Jury’s Inn, Domino’s Pizza and Wilko.
