Professor Dorothy Griffiths OBE reappointed Chair for three more years

CNWL's Council of Governors have unanimously reappointed Professor Dorothy Griffiths - Dot - for a further three years.

She said: "I am delighted to be reappointed as the Chair of CNWL for a further term. This is a fantastic Trust which does wonderful work supporting people in many different ways and in many different situations. I am very proud to be able to be part of it."

Councillor Ketan Sheth, who is the elected Lead Governor, said: "Dot has steered the organisation well - at the Council and the Board of Directors. She has great integrity, lives the true spirit of public service and is a very caring and supportive leader."

The Governors - all unpaid voluntary posts - hold the Non Executive Directors to account and make senior Board appointments. The public can join the Trust and stand for election as a Governor.

Claire Murdoch, Chief Executive said: "This post is a very demanding one; responsible for running the Board of Directors and holding Executives to account, but also chairing the Governors and setting our strategic goals, overseeing the success we've had. Dot has the difficult conversations and does it very well; it's great to have her counsel and support for another three years."
