POPULAR HALLOWEEN SHOP RETURNS TO MIDDLESBROUGH'S DUNDAS SHOPPING CENTRE

A pop-up Halloween shop has opened in Middlesbrough’s Dundas Shopping Centre for the third year in succession, to kick off a month long spooky festival throughout the centre.

The Festival Shop has created a pop up store outside Boyes and also taken on the vacant Unit 8 to sell Halloween costumes, masks and make-up.  Its range of ghostly goods has been so popular for the past two years that the Centre Management specially invited the Festival Shop to take a larger shop this year.

Other retailers in the Dundas Shopping Centre are also joining in the scary fun throughout October, with Boyes and B&M selling a wide range of costumes, accessories and decorations for the home, while Jean’s Kitchen and Auntie Ambas Sweets and Treats in the indoor market will be offering Halloween-themed meals and sweets.

On Saturday 22nd October 2016 from 10am to 3pm, award-winning children’s entertainer Tom Rolfe will be performing his Defying Gravity shows, alongside a frightful Halloween Festival, face painting and a Halloween Dress Up, and there is a Food & Craft Market on the 28th and 29th October.

“Halloween is getting bigger and better each year in the Dundas Shopping Centre,” says Dundas Centre Managing Agent Richard Wilson of Middlesbrough property consultants Dodds Brown.  “We are delighted that once again The Festival Shop will be leading the celebrations with their dedicated shop and we will see all the retailers joining in.  It’s the place in town to go and buy anything to do with Halloween.

“Last year in the week before Halloween the Dundas Shopping Centre had its highest weekly footfall.  It is a vibrant centre with a strong mix of national and independent local retailers. There is only one unit vacant in the centre – Unit 8 which is being used for the pop-up Halloween shop.  I would urge retailers interested in this prime position to get in touch.”
